About Glenn
Glenn Carter grew up in Montana and started carving at the early age of six. It was then his Dad gave him a dull knife to work at whittling. Later a sharpened knife was all that was needed to carve little frogs. Throughout the years, creating has always been the common denominator to Glenn’s life.
A tour in the Navy brought electronics into his life. A degree in Audio Engineering took him on a different path for a few years. That changed and he went back to school to get a Bachelors of Fine Arts and a Masters at a College in California. Teaching for ten years at a college near Hayward, California, was a highlight in Glenn’s Career. He taught Design and Materials to students between the age of 18 to 80.
Later he would move to a ski area in Idaho where his studios produced Animal Bar Stools for the Rainforest Cafes, placed all over the world. He made 3086 bar stools for that client. He also had many clients who asked for his special kind of art.
Glenn now resides in Bellevue, Idaho with his wife, Victoria, and two furry felines and a small studio to create.
